Outside the window of my gigantic corner office on the US floor of the Food & Pussy International Headquarters (FPIH), there’s finally snow on the ground. It’s been pretty sweet, weather wise, around the FPIH over the past few months, so there’s no reason to complain about our seasonal comeuppance, i.e., cold & snow.
Speaking of snow: Jon Snow. You chicks see that promo picture? Pretty intense. The internet is buzzing about this picture. Jon Snow lives, folks. SPOILER ALERT: Jon Snow lives. Even comedian Ken Marino is weighing in on this Jon Snow picture:

Anyhow, just wanted to let everyone know that we here at F&P are totally into Game of Thrones and therefore both “hip” and “with it,” to use the parlance of our times. I also threw in a reference to The Big Lebowski in that last statement to highlight our supreme coolness.
I wonder what N.P. Yuggoth thinks about Russia “banning” Scientology. I put the word “banning” in quotes because the one article I skimmed on the subject wasn’t all that informative. Scientology is a scam and is run by bad people, but I reserve some respect for the religion. Why? Because it’s an example of how needy folks are for direction and “answers.” The classic religions have been around so long that people can sort of believe in the magic & mystery simply because the dogmas have been around “forever.” For some reason humans trust the ancients. Which is pretty fucking dumb if you think about it, considering those people were dying from every form of disease and violence and were generally unclean. They also believed the Earth was the center of the universe. Talk about a sense of entitlement! But Scientology is a modern religion. It was invented in my parents’ life time. That’s what’s amazing about it: everyone knows it’s a made up scam, yet Scientology is incredibly popular. People need to believe in something, I guess, even if it means exchanging large sums of money to unfold a story about a fucking galactic war and theatens. Crazy, man.
Still, should it be banned? Scientology may be shitty, but I’m fairly certain those classic religions are responsible for a lot more death & kid rape, & yet there are no bans on Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc. I say if dumbasses want to pay the Scientologists, let the Scientologists keep pimpin’ them. Isn’t that what all religion boils down to? Find an emotional cripple (there are plenty), offer them easy answers, break them, & profit! You go, pimp.
